Delft

 Delft, the pretty small town not far from The Hague, only 15 minutes by train and we are there. The main attraction in Delft is the Markt (main square). It can be reached on foot from Delft Train Station. We will pass some beautiful canals along the way to the Markt. And since it was near Christmas, we can see Delft was beautifully decorated with so  many lights.

Zurich, Liechtenstein, Mt Pilatus, Lucerne

 It was half term break for Kaeo’s school, so we decided to have short vacation, and because Kaeo always wanted to try sleepers train, we chose to go to Zurich by City Night Line Train. We booked the tickets online from http://www.bahn.com/i/view/GBR/en/prices/europe/overnight-travel.shtml  We took sleeper train from Amsterdam Centraal to Zurich Main Station. The train left at 20.31 and arrived at Zurich Main Station at 08.00. We bought tickets for couchettes with 4 berth in the compartment. The price was a bit higher compare with 6 berth in one compartment, but it was worth it, as with 6 berth would be very packed.

Explore Morocco : Belyounech, Fnideq, Marina Samir, M'Diq, Al Hoceima

We had four days holiday, so we decided to explore Morocco. On this occasion we chose to explore the northern part of Morocco.

We started at around 8 am, drove from Casablanca, took the highway to Tanger Med direction, and from here we just followed the sign to Belyounech. From here, we can see the Gibraltar.

 

Explore Morocco : Mohammedia

Mohammedia

Mohammedia. It is very close to Casablanca. It is located between Rabat and Casablanca. It’s famous for the beach and the seafood. We explore the Kasbah area, which is include Parc de Mohammedia, the very neat park in the heart of Mohammedia. There were many good  and famous restaurants around this park. We also visited the Kasbah. It is not as big as the other city, but still interesting enough to explore. There were some shops here, food shops, souvenir shops, grocery shops.

We also visited one of the beaches: Plage Miramar. It’s quiet beach, we can rent umbrella here, while enjoying the Atlantic Ocean. Also there were some café along the beach.

Explore Morocco : Essaouira, Agadir, Legzira

A very rare occation that we got a very loooong weekend, starting from Thursday until Sunday. Like everybody else, we also packed our luggage and went for vacation to the places that always in our list in exploring Morocco: Essaouira and Agadir.

16 July 2015, Casablanca – Amsterdam

We took a very early morning flight by Lufthansa, departed  at 1.45 am, we had transit at Frankfurt around 7.10 am, From Frankfurt we took off at 8.10 am and arrived in Amsterdam Airport Schiphol at 9.12 am. From Schiphol to Amsterdam Central Station took around 15 minutes.

We stayed at Ibis Amsterdam Airport (EUR 81.26/night), this hotel provided free airport shuttle every 30 minutes. We had our lunch at the Aiport first before we went to the hotel. There were some restaurants, convenient stores and shops in the airport. 

Kinderdijk and Utrecht

Today, we planned to visit Kinderdjik. We took train from Schiphol to
Utrecht Centraal Station (around 30 minutes) then we continued by bus 90 (Rotterdam Zuidplein) goes to Alblasserdam. Bus 90 is the only one that stops at the entrance of the Kinderdijk. Kinderdjik is a small village where we can find 19 windmills which
were built in the 1500s.

From the bus stop, we crossed the street and will find a
souvenir shop with a street on the left side, just follow the street, it
 leads us to ticket booth. With the entrance fee Eur 7.5 (adult) and Eur 5.5 (child 4-12 years old), we can enter the site.

Day 1, 13 June 2015, Lausanne City Center

We took Royal Air Maroc to fly from Casablanca to Geneva. From Geneva Airport we took train to Lausanne. We stayed in Agora Swiss Hotel. This hotel was in walking distance from train station (Lausanne Gare) and metro station Grancy, so it’s very convenient to explore the city by public transportation. The hotel also gave free Lausanne Tranport Card, that we can use for public transportation. This card gives free travel on Lausanne’s public transport system in zones 11, 12, 15, 16, 18 and 19. The card is issued by the hotel on check-in and is valid for the duration of the reservation, including the day of departure.

Since we arrived afternoon, we decided to explore one place. We took metro to Laussane Flon Metro Station. Across the station, we can visit Place du Flon, where we can find shops and café. We walked back to station and walked to Rue Saint Laurent. Here, we can see Saint Laurent Church. Around this area, there were plenty of shops, café and restaurants. We continued walking until we reach The Cathedral of Notre Dame of Lausanne. From here, we can see the panoramic city view.

Volendam and Edam

Today, we visited some town near Amsterdam. From Amsterdam Central
Station we took bus from bus terminal that located behind train station. We
bought bus pass that allowed us to stop at some town. First, we stopped at
Volendam.



Volendam is a
fishing village, just around 20 kilometres from Amsterdam. It is a
very touristic spot with a great view and lots of shops. Besides the the souvenir
shops, there were also shops that provided costume for tourists to wear and
take photo. Just walked around the area, we can see small canal with houses
along the canal.

Karena long weekend dan ketemu tiket murah dari Air Arabia, jadilah jalan-jalan ke Milan yang sudah direncanakan dan batal beberapa kali. Pesawat take off jam 7 pagi, perjalanan 3 jam. Tiba di Bergamo Airport jam 10.55 (karena ada perbedaan waktu 1 jam dengan Casablanca). Di depan bandara langsung dapat dilihat “pangkalan” bus. Dan karena bus yang ke arah Milan Centrale banyak, maka begitu keluar langsung ketemu bus dengan tujuan ini. Tarif 5 euro per orang (anak di atas 5 tahun sudah harus bayar dengan tariff sama – 5 euro). Perjalanan sampai ke Milan Centrale sekitar 1 jam. Bus berhenti tepat di depan Milan Centrale Railway Station.

Road Trip from Tanger to Seville

Casablanca – Tanger – Seville

6.30 berangkat dari Bouskoura, langsung masuk highway. Waktu tempuh hingga tiba di Tanger sekitar 4.5 jam. Selama perjalanan, tinggal melihat petunjuk jalan yang mengarah ke Tanger. Penyeberangan ferry dari Tanger ke Spanyol, bisa melalui Tanger Ville atau Tanger Med. Kalau dari Tanger Ville, ferry akan merapat di Tarifa Port. Sedangkan dari Tanger Med, ferry akan merapat di Algeciras Port. Algericas Port lebih besar dari Tarifa Port, sehingga bus-bus antarkota lebih beragam dibanding Tarifa Port.

Tiba di Tanger Med sekitar jam 10.30. Mobil di parkir di tempat parkir yang disediakan di pelabuhan. Parkir gratis dan dijaga oleh satpam. Dari tempat parkir tinggal jalan ke gedung penjualan tiket. Ada beberapa operator ferry, dengan harga yang tidak beda jauh satu sama lain, diantaranya Balearia dan FRS. Tinggal pilih yang jam keberangkatan paling dekat. Walaupun jam keberangkatan FRS pk 11.00 tapi karena perlu waktu boarding minimal 30 menit, jadi tidak bisa naik yang ini. Alhasil naik Balearia yang waktu keberangkatannya pk. 12.00. Tiket untuk 2 dewasa dan 1 anak sekitar MAD 1.100.

Entah kenapa malam ini perjalanan ke airport macet total, dengar di radio katanya ada perbaikan jalan, dengar dari sopir taxi katanya ada jalan yang ditutup. Walaupun sudah mempersiapkan waktu perjalanan lebih lama dari biasanya, tetap aja perlu deg deg an dan benar sampai di airport seharusnya sudah waktunya boarding. Untungnya para crew pesawat juga terjebak macet, jadi pesawat didelay 30 menit. Kalau sampai gak ada delay, harus nginap semalam lagi di Jakarta. Sekitar pk. 21 lewat, setelah pesawat mengantri 15 menit untuk terbang, mengudaralah pesawat Turkish Airlines.
