Explore Morocco : Belyounech, Fnideq, Marina Samir, M'Diq, Al Hoceima
25-26
September 2015
We
had four days holiday, so we decided to explore Morocco. On this occasion we
chose to explore the northern part of Morocco.
We
started at around 8 am, drove from Casablanca, took the highway to Tanger Med direction,
and from here we just followed the sign to Belyounech. From here, we can see
the Gibraltar.
From
Belyounech, we drove to Fnideq to had lunch. Since it was a religious holiday
and for Moroccan it’s a big celebration, almost all the shop, resto were
closed. Luckyly, we found one La Corniche Hotel that its resto that was opened.
After we had our lunch, we walked along the beach just across the resto, until
we arrived at the grand mosque, with its blue and white color and with the very
beautiful ornament.
From
Fnideq, we made a quick stop at Marina Smir with view of yachts before we
arrived at M’Diq.
From
M’Diq we drove straight to Al Hoceima. We arrived at almost 9 pm. We stayed at
Mercure Quemado. Luckyly the hotel resto still open. So we had our dinner
there. The highlight of Al Hoceima is Quemado Playa (Quemado Beach),and the Mercure Hotel is located exactly in
the beach. The beach is secluded with amazing rocls formation around it, and
the water is crystal clear.
In
the morning, we had our breakfast with the sea view. Then we went straight to
the beach. Although it’s not a private beach, but it was very convenient
because of its location. We can rent an umbrella with chair and table for 50
dirham all day. There were also some activities, we can rent jet ski, boat,
banana boat. We decided to just sit and enjoy the scenery while Kaeo was busy
swimming and playing with the sand. The water was very clear, we can see the
fish. Kaeo like to feed the fish some bread.
We stayed at the hotel until around 1 pm. Then
we drove straight back to Casablanca via Taza.
